Windows/Unix Check Image Developer

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, integrate, implement and support a Windows Check Processing system (Metavante Vision IP).
- Provide senior level technical knowledge in designing, developing, implementing and supporting a wide range of scalable banking solutions.
- Engage with business users as a subject matter expert to work on requirements discovery, architecture, design, development, documentation, and post implementation support for large-scale, multi-platform integration solutions.

Requirements:
- Candidate must demonstrate solid, proven administration and development skills and feel comfortable leading a team as well as working individually.
- Must have the skills to design, develop test, and implement Windows solutions in conjunction with SOA architectures.
- Must have a strong understanding of check processing operations and processes.
- Must be very knowledgeable and have solid experience with Windows XP and NT including installing, configuring, developing Windows applications, usage of the APIs, queues, clustering, channels, etc.
- Candidate must also possess solid experience with architecture, design, and applications development and integration and should have solid, real-world experience with C or C++, Visual Basic 6 or VB.Net, HTML, and XML.
- Must be able to quickly understand the overall business strategy, to analyze the business processes, and to develop technical solutions to support the business strategy.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and in a team environment and collaborate with peers on technical solutions.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken language. Must be able to clearly articulate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to lead and facilitate technical and non-technical discussions and be able to make presentations to middle and senior management.
- Must have an excellent understanding of the various data formats and data transformation processes and procedures.

Experience:
- Five (5) years experience designing, developing, implementing, supporting and maintaining Windows NT/XP implementations in hosted production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or equivalent level of experience.
- Banking industry experience preferred, especially with Check Processing knowledge.
- Hands-on experience working with MS SQL Server, MS Windows Server 2000/2005, TCP/IP, and Oracle.
- Experience with structured project methodology experience, and SDLC methodologies.
- Solid experience and knowledge with multiple platforms such as OS/390, UNIX (AIX, HP/UX, or SUN), and/or Windows NT/XP.
- Experience in programming languages such as COBOL, C, C++, Visual Basic.Net, or Assembler.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
