Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions and is searching for Workstation Specialist for a premier healthcare facility located in the San Francisco Bay area.

Responsibilities:
  • Testing end-user device functionality and interoperability in a complex Clinical Information System setting
  • Work closely with network administrators, DBA?s, developers and application groups, specifically concerning end-user device performance
  • Provide detailed documentation of systems and desktop application configuration, to include processes, guidelines and standards
  • Provide training to support staff on systems and desktop maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Developing profile for Citrix desktop standard
  • Packaging desktop software into MSI files and testing against standard PC image
  • Use of software distribution software, such as SMS or Marimba
  • Champion the project

    Qualifications:
  • A demonstrated knowledge of Server hardware, software and PC operating systems (i.e., Windows 2000/XP, Windows Server, and MS Office)
  • Knowledge of software installation and troubleshooting procedures, device imaging, and network connectivity
  • Detailed understanding of Citrix thin-client technology an essential prerequisite
  • Detailed knowledge of Desktop Packaging (SMS Installer, WISE, or other packaging tools)
  • Knowledge of Software Distribution Tools, preferably Marimba
  • Knowledge of VB scripting
  • Skilled at complex problem solving
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Experience with Healthcare application end-user support a plus
  • Knowledge of good PC practices regarding virus avoidance and security awareness
