We have an immediate need for a Workstation Support Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
Great opportunity for a six months plus contract assignment for a Workstation Support Analyst with one of our clients in Greensboro, NC. This Analyst will be responsible for the implementation of effective end user computing applications (PCs and workstations) and PC/Workstation based LAN systems. Responsibilities include planning, leasing/purchasing, deployment/installation, system level technical support and remote management of the clients workstations or designated network printers. May consult with business area management regarding system requirements, application alternatives, security, software usage, training, recovery and backup procedures. Will participate in the testing and evaluation of new PC packages.
Qualified candidates must be acquainted with the design and functionality of Workstation computers and peripheral equipment as well as Workstation products. Must have specific technical knowledge to support the Workstation infrastructure. Must have a broad understanding of end user computing systems and hardware, client functions and applications. Rotating on call every five weeks.
Must have a minimum of three years Workstation support experience supporting at least 200 workstations. Must also have strong customer service skills along with a working knowledge of network topologies and protocols. Strong experience with Windows XP and Office 2007 required. Some after hours support or early hours support may be required.
