Description
ZACHMAN ARCHITECT - Lead in the creation of and documentation for the complete architecture with emphasis on planners and owners view (Row 1 and 2) for the program or project . Utilize the Solution Delivery Methodology (Classic or Unified) for the creation of program or project deliverables and artifacts . Coach development teams in applying the Zachman Framework and the related artifacts . Maintain key architecture deliverables and artifacts at a program or project level . Establish contacts with business units to understand business processes drivers, and requirements . Develop and coordinate program or project architecture reviews . Drive institutionalization of Zachman concepts and artifacts as related to daily work (methods and processes) within assigned program or project team . Identify and remove barriers/inhibitors to use of SDM and Zachman Framework approaches . Participate in the SDM/Zachman Framework Forum within company to identify, distill and implement best practices across program teams . Provide coaching and mentoring to teams by applying company's best practices, tools, and methods

Skills Required:
ZACHMAN ARCHITECT . 10+ years of information system planning and analysis experience . Demonstrable construction skills and actual examples of models (e.g. data, process, timing, business rules) built using the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture . Ability to derive, define, and explicitly represent various artifacts and deliverables . Understand the meanings and relationships between various Zachman Framework models . In depth understanding of various information technologies and appropriate application . An understanding IT architecture and in order to provide guidance to development teams in the utilization of approved architecture components (desirable) . Complete and thorough understanding of the systems development lifecycle concepts and Zachman Framework and how they apply to projects in the IT environment . Specialization in one or more areas of Solutions Architecture, Information Architecture, Application Technology Architecture, or Infrastructure Architecture . Experience with mentoring and data sharing techniques.

Skills Preferred:
Excellent communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports, articles, etc.) . Group session facilitation and information gathering . Trade-off analysis . Ability to influence business program strategy . Assist in the translating or mapping business program strategy into technology strategy . Communicating with business and technology partners, within the scope of the program. . Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with senior business and IT management . Collaborate with senior technical experts . Provide thought leadership and guidance (mentoring) to senior architects, architects, and associate architects within the program or project team

Experience Required:
10+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT with experience working with modeling tools (e.g. IBM/Rational suite) . Participation in several large-scale projects as a architect or business analyst that utilized a systems development lifecycle . Demonstrated ability to deliver commitments through leadership, execution, teamwork, planning/scheduling, problem analysis/resolution and productivity improvements

Education Required:
BS in related technical field; degree level qualification in computer science or related discipline - Training in methodologies, facilitation, and business process reengineering methods/tools

Education Preferred:
Postgraduate qualification in a related field is desirable
