Job Description
Consultant will be evaluating, designing and creating an architecture for the application, then to be developed by a team of programmers. .

The candidate will have a strong technical background emphasizing Java development in an enterprise environment, robust understanding of development methodology, combined with strong resource and project management skills. This position not only requires a deep knowledge of Java, J2EE and web-application-related technology -- this individual must feel comfortable orchestrating the development of integrated applications in a complex systems environment, acting as a liaison between systems analysts and developers, and facilitating the project to the rest of the team.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the development and maintenance of web-based enterprise applications using formal project management methodology.Facilitate the information exchange between the development team and the projects program office, providing developers with the information they need to work.Assess the effort level of assigned projects, and build a project estimated timeline, and a detailed modular development project planProvide development team members with modular assignments and timelines, and track project development statusProvide support to team developers, and resolution/clarity of potential development/functional issues.Coordinate projects technical development setup, and environment and infrastructure configuration specificsDefine and execute project application build process and schedule, and coordinate development teams build requests.Collaborate with QA and program office teams to develop testing cycles, as well as projects launch plan documentationWork with the VERITAS IS&T Change Control Process to obtain authorization for production environment changesReview and authorize the execution of DML production scripts, builds and application recycles.Develop web-enabled business applications using Java and the ATG Dynamo Application sever framework, as defined within the Web Technologist job description.
