Description
This is a Senior Java Enterprise Developer position supporting J2EE-based (Java Enterprise Edition) systems. The developer will maintain involvement in all phases of web-based application development; providing technical analysis, design, and implementation of software systems and complex technical system components. Strong technical, logical, analytical and problem solving skills are required.

As a team member, you will be involved in all aspects of the design, construction and support of the organizations internal software applications.

Responsibilities
- Focus on the design, development, unit testing and support of web services and enterprise components.
- The utilization of J2EE and OO best practices for application design and development.
- Performing problem analysis, design and documentation of problem solutions; implementation and unit testing of solutions; packaging of code for deployment to production.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing systems as well as developing new systems.
- The creation and review of feature design documents.
- Performing tier II production support of existing systems where necessary.

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline along with 5+ years in the development of enterprise software projects is required, along with advanced knowledge of J2EE application design and programming. We expect that youll also possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication, people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.

Requirements
- 5+ years experience in server-side JEE development
- Experience using IBMs RSA or Eclipse
- Knowledge of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) principles and practices
- Understanding of the use of frameworks and re-usable components
- JDBC, JDP, Struts, HTML, XML, XSL, JUnit, Ant, JMS (preferred)
- Working knowledge of relational databases in an Oracle environment utilizing SQL and PL/SQL
- Living in or ability to relocate to Knoxville, TN, USA
Helpful Skills or Knowledge

- Bankcard industry or financial sector experience and/or familiarity with industry terminology.
- Familiarity with Computer Associates Harvest.
- Technical certifications in relevant areas.
