Leads presale activities for base xSeries projects while assisting with pre-sales activities. Performs successful installation, configuration and support of vendor-supplied hardware, software and operating systems. Demonstrate in depth understanding on complex projects to include utilizing clustering, systems management or virtualization of machines. Installs and configures product and transfers applicable knowledge to client. Researches new technical products emerging in specialty field and advises MSI management team on benefits/opportunities related to new product. Responsible for an in-depth knowledge of product capable of providing training to other engineer team members. Performs account management and project management duties as they are identified/assigned.

This position is responsible for sales efforts of MSI products and services within the IBM eServer xSeries brand unit. Develops and plans business strategies to meet the required sales objectives. Responsible for identifying all business opportunities within the brand unit and partnering with client executives, system engineers, MSI team members and partners with (IBM) to deliver complete solutions and satisfy client expectations. Identifies opportunities and develops MSI solution strategies, particularly xSeries services offerings. Manages and monitors many opportunities of varying complexities. Works with resource coordinators/managers to ensure that appropriate quantity and quality of technical and services resources are deployed.

Retains ultimate responsibility for high customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements
Exceptional communication and presentation skills. xSeries Sales Certification and/or xSeries Technical Certification (hardware and software). One certification from the following list preferred: RHCE or LINUX Certification, MCSE, MCNE. Upon employment a combination of the following certifications expected to be obtained: Symantec, Veritas, Vmware, BMC, PolyServe, IBM Director (MSI reimbursement and/or sponsorship of training provided).df-tc
